1. Bookings
1.1 Once a booking has been made with Glittery Dreams Entertainment, payment via credit card, bank card or bank transfer must be made within 24 hrs to secure the client’s date and time. Non payment will release the slot and may be filled by another booking.
1.2 A payment confirmation email will be sent to the client within 3 business days detailing: the event date and time, services booked and any other requirements and details of the booking.
2. Cancellations
2.1 All payments are non-refundable.
2.2 Cancellations made less than 7 days before the booking are ineligible for rescheduling and/or refund (exemptions only apply if the cancellation falls within circumstances as outlined in 2.4).
2.3 Cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the booking are eligible for rescheduling without any extra fees (subject to availability).
2.4 In the event of government lockdowns, or major illness the client will be eligible for rescheduling without any extra fees (subject to availability).
2.5 In the rare instance where Glittery Dreams Entertainment has to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to find a replacement entertainer(s). If we are unable to fulfil the booking, a full refund will be provided. Any extra costs incurred by the client ie: booking an alternative supplier, will not be covered by Glittery Dreams Entertainment.
3. Services
3.1 At Glittery Dreams Entertainment, we have a number of entertainer(s) that we subcontract to provide quality entertainment for our clients. They are provided with direction, quality material and vetting in order to meet our high standards of excellence. As we provide a number of varying artforms ie: face painting, magic, balloon sculptures, games, dj/mc etc there may be some difference in style and skill of the entertainer(s) at the booked event.
3.2 Working within different scenarios can produce varied results as an example different age groups yield different results.
3.3 In some instances such as heavy traffic, unforeseen delays etc our entertainer(s) may arrive late to the event. As we pride ourselves on punctuality and professionalism, we will endeavour to either stay longer or work faster to make sure we meet the contracted services.
3.4 If the booked event finishes earlier than expected by the client, no refunds will be issued. If there are less people than expected, no refunds will be issued.
3.5 We understand that changes may occur ie: extra guests needing face painting. In this case, we kindly ask for the client to pay for the extra service before the entertainer(s) arrival. Extra service fees are listed in our initial PDF price list. Payment must be made before the party begins via bank transfer.
4. Client obligations
4.1 To ensure the event is a success, we ask clients to provide the best possible workplace for our entertainer(s). This includes but is not limited to: adult supervision, adequate space to conduct their services, shade, lighting, tables & chairs (if required), bathroom & drinking water access.
4.2 If the booking is over 2hrs, a 15 min break is required for the entertainer(s) to recharge so as to be able to provide our high quality service. This break is included in every successive hour eg: 45 min service provided & 15 min break.
4.3 Adults should remain present when children are being entertained, as children will remain the responsibility of the parent, guardian, event host or organiser. We are not responsible for watching over unsupervised children. Our role as entertainer(s) does not include: child minding or baby sitting.
4.4 Our entertainer(s) will not tolerate any verbal or physical violence, harassment or unsafe working conditions. Where the entertainer(s) deem this to be the case, our services will be automatically terminated and the client will not be eligible for a refund.
5. Health & Safety
5.1 Face painting is not recommended for kids under 3 years old or kids that are not able to sit still.
5.2 In the interest of health and safety, we will not be able to paint people with the following conditions: contagious diseases such as measles, german measles or chickenpox, contagious skin conditions such as cold sores, ringworm, scabies, impetigo, sore or broken skin, any inflamed/itchy skin condition, anyone suffering from known allergies to cosmetics & conjunctivitis.
5.3 The area to be painted must be cleaned with soap & warm water or a moist towelette by the parent or guardian taking care around eyes, wiping runny noses & around the mouth. If anyone present has sensitive skin, food allergies or reactions to soaps, creams, dyes or glitter, it is the responsibility of the host/parent/guardian to notify the entertainer(s) who, at their discretion, may perform a small patch test or may choose not to paint the person.
5.4 Our face painting products are water-based, removing them is easy with soap and warm water. Some colours are more highly pigmented than others and may leave a slight tint on the skin, for this we recommend a second wash with soap & water. We do not recommend using baby wipes as these could cause skin irritation.
5.5 For the safety of our client’s guests, our bubble machine can only be set up outside on a grassy area. If adequate space is not available, our entertainer(s) will assess & decide if it will be possible to provide this service. We will not be held responsible for lack of adequate space & as a result of not being able to provide this service, will not be issuing any refunds.
5.6 Our balloon sculptures are made from latex. It is the clients responsibility to inform the entertainer(s) of any people with allergies present at the event. If this is communicated on the day of the event, we will not be issuing any refunds.
5.7 To ensure that games remain fun & safe, we ask that guests follow the instructions & guidelines given by our entertainer(s). All of our props are disinfected & cleaned to insure the wellbeing of guests. Glittery Dreams Entertainment will not be held responsible for any injuries incurred as a result of guests not following safety instructions.
6. Data collection
6.1 Any information collected via our website contact or booking forms will not be shared with third parties.
6.2 Periodically, we may send out discount codes, special offers or info via email or text. If you do not wish to receive these, simply reply with the word ‘unsubscribe’.
